二、Architectural features

（一）exterior design

The architectural conception deploys a sinuous curvilinear volume that subverts orthogonal conventions, injecting dynamic fluidity into the built form. Expansive glazed façades in concert with a luminous mineral palette achieve dual performance: ensuring optimal daylight penetration for biophilic reading environments while creating an ethereal visual permeability. This crystalline skin actively engages its context through living reflections of campus arboretum and skyscape, achieving symbiotic integration with the academic landscape. Strategically positioned columns articulate harmonic rhythmicity‌, enhancing structural gravitas while establishing an architectonic order that elevates the institution's cultural resonance

From the exterior design, the interior space can be stratified into functional zones including the collection area, reading area, and collaboration zone. The arc-shaped configuration optimizes circulation flow, facilitating efficient access for users to all functional areas. The glass curtain wall sections accommodate window seating areas, allowing readers to enjoy natural lighting and exterior views, thereby enhancing the reading experience. The multi-level structure with column support ensures spatial stability while providing structural conditions for zoning diverse functional areas, meeting the library's multifaceted usage requirements

The area around the building is surrounded by green plants such as palm trees, forming a natural green buffer zone that softens the hard edges of the building and creates a quiet and comfortable reading atmosphere. The unique architectural form becomes an important node in the campus landscape. It not only showcases the cultural heritage of the campus but also, with an open and inclusive posture, attracts teachers and students to stop and stay, promotes knowledge exchange and the dissemination of campus culture, and realizes the synergy between the building's functions and the educational function of the environment.
