It is the core electrode material in argon arc welding (TIG welding). Made of high-purity tungsten or tungsten alloys containing rare earth elements (such as cerium, thorium, etc.), it has an extremely high melting point (approximately 3422°C) and good electrical conductivity. It can stably generate an electric arc at high temperatures and is a key component for realizing tungsten inert gas welding.
